Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in sprints, retrospectives, and daily stand-up meetings.
  • Collaborate with product owners to manage backlogs and prioritise new requests.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain automation for the bank's data protection services (NetBackup and CommVault).
  • Build and support reporting and monitoring functionalities for the developed automation.
  • Provide engineering support for the bank's data protection tools and their standard use.
  • Evaluate new products, features, and software versions.
  • Create clear, detailed documentation for all automation solutions developed.
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members.

Key Skills:

  • Solid understanding of Scrum practices and artifacts (eg, definition of done, user stories, backlog refinement, automated testing).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Bash.
  • In-depth experience with configuration management and orchestration using Red Hat Ansible.
  • Proficient in designing, developing, and testing RESTful API services.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps source control tools, particularly GitLab.
  • Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and CloudBees.
  • Comfortable using collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Veritas NetBackup and its supporting infrastructure.
  • Experience with Commvault and related technologies.
