Summary: Our consultancy client is seeking an experienced data protection analyst to support a client in the energy sector. The role involves assessing requests to share data with external parties and coordinating responses from various departments regarding risks and mitigants. The position requires on-site presence one day a week and is classified as inside IR35. The initial contract is for a couple of months with potential extension until March 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and triage requests to share data with external parties.
- Gather information from requestors regarding the sensitivity of information, purpose, and audience.
- Coordinate responses from Data Governance, Legal, and Cybersecurity regarding risks and required mitigants.
- Support tracking and management of triage requests.
- Assist in the management and improvement of the triage process and documentation/templates.
- Contribute to strategic tooling requirements and planning.
Key Skills:
- Experience in data protection analysis.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., DPIA and ROPA).
- Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention operations.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and improve processes and documentation.
Salary (Rate): £450 daily

Main responsibility is to assess/triage requests to share data to external parties, gathering information from requestors around the sensitivity of information to be shared, the purpose, and audience, coordinating responses from Data Governance, Legal and Cybersecurity in relation to the risks involved and any required mitigants. Other responsibilities include supporting the tracking/management of triage requests, supporting the management and improvement of the triage process and documentation/templates, and contributing to strategic tooling requirements and planning. Ability to fungible across data privacy (eg DPIA and ROPA) and/or Data Loss Prevention operations highly desirable. Initial contract is for a couple of months with possibility of extension until March 2027. You will need to be onsite 1 day a week and the role will be insider IR35.
