About The Job Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a Data Protection Advisor on a 12-month contract. We’re looking for someone passionate about delivering efficient service, using your skills day in and day out to help Games Workshop meet its compliance requirements. You’ll achieve this by adopting a practical, detailed approach and adhering to a streamlined process for Data Protection activities. In this role you’ll become a key member of a team that forms part of the wider Legal team, and we’ll rely on you to monitor compliance across privacy regulations. You’ll be adaptable having the ability to work within an evolving business ensuring Privacy Notices and Policies are up to date and compliant as the business changes You’ll understand the importance of accuracy combined with an unwavering determination of leaving no stone unturned as you manage data subject rights requests. Meticulously, you’ll coordinate searches or removal across Games Workshop’s systems and redact in line with regulatory guidance. You’ll always ensure data subject rights are upheld without breaching the data rights of others or disclosing sensitive information. We’re always focussed on continuous improvement and in this role; you’ll be given the opportunity to develop as you research and recommend solutions and Manage Privacy by Design projects from start to finish. You’ll believe in our approach and help champion it across Games Workshop as you guide departments through privacy by design processes and Privacy Principles for projects. Demonstrating a strong commitment to consistency you’ll operate at pace without losing accuracy to assist in the Auditing process by assessing evidence, allocating remedial actions and conducting departmental checks. You’ll handle general enquiries received in the privacy inbox as well as keeping track of the progress of matters and chasing information that has not been received in a timely manner. We’re looking for someone who has a genuine passion and interest in Data Protection who has the drive to succeed. Ideally, you’ll understand Data Protection regulations, be qualified CIPP/E and demonstrate consistent professionalism in accessing and handling sensitive business and personal data. Always maintaining a hardworking and diligent approach using your time management skills will ensure you can manage a busy workload.
