Detailed Description From Employer:

Data & Analytics Programme Manager (Contract) - £650 - £725 per day (Outside IR35) A large, international energy organisation is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Programme or Delivery Manager to shape and lead the next phase of its data transformation. This contract role is focused on resetting and future-proofing the Azure data estate, rather than delivering a large, fixed, global rollout. The organisation is open to part-time engagement initially, with flexibility to increase commitment over time.

The Opportunity This engagement is about building strong foundations, not scaling an already mature data platform. You will work with a newly formed data team to define direction, establish standards, and shape the future-state data and analytics landscape.

Key objectives include:

  • Reworking the existing Azure data environment
  • Consolidating data from multiple source systems into a coherent, governed platform
  • Establishing global best practice, standards, and guardrails
  • Defining and shaping the future-state data & analytics architecture
  • Ensuring the platform is scalable, governed, and fit for long-term business needs

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, helping define both the “what” and the “how” , rather than delivering against a rigid, pre-defined programme plan.

Role Scope & Engagement Model Programme / Delivery Manager orientation, with strong hands-on involvement Must have a deep data & analytics background, not a generic PM profile Previous experience reporting into a Chief Data Officer or equivalent Proven track record running data and analytics programmes or transformations Part-time initially (ideal to start) (2 days per week)
