Summary: The Data Product Owner – Regulatory Reporting is tasked with designing and delivering data products that ensure regulatory compliance across various jurisdictions. This role serves as a liaison between regulatory reporting teams, data engineering, and business stakeholders to create trusted data assets and pipelines that adapt to changing regulatory requirements. The position requires a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and agile product ownership in a data-centric environment. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week in Canary Wharf.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for regulatory reporting data products.
  • Define and prioritize user stories based on regulatory deadlines, compliance risk, and business value.
  • Act as the voice of the customer in product development activities.
  • Collaborate with compliance, risk, finance, legal, and IT to ensure data products meet reporting requirements.
  • Champion data lineage, quality, traceability, and completeness.
  • Ensure documentation of data dictionaries, metadata, and transformation logic.
  • Lead sprint planning and reviews with data engineering and reporting teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery of features and data products for regulatory filings.
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and assess their impact on data requirements.
  • Ensure alignment with data privacy and protection frameworks.

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years’ experience in financial services, regulatory reporting, or enterprise data management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Basel, IFRS, CRD IV/V, MiFID, TNFD/ESG disclosures.
  • Proven experience in Agile product ownership or business analysis in a data-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and data lineage tools (e.g., Collibra, Atlan).
  • Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
