Key Responsibilities:

- Support teams in understanding backlog items and their priorities.

Key Skills:

- Background in an Architectural or Technical role in a data context.

A Globally known Tier 1 Bank are looking for an experienced Data Product Owner/SME to join the team, on a contractual basis. This contract will be a 6 Month rolling contract based in their Sheffield Office on a hybrid working schedule.
What you will do:
Delving deep into the myriad systems and processes the bank uses to capture and process customer data across all its lines of business, you will develop an understanding of how we collect and use data and how we can improve our processes and systems to maximise its utility and quality while reducing our demands on customers to supply it.
Empathising with internal business customer by actively listening to feedback, analysing usage data, identifying unmet internal and bank customer needs and opportunities for improvement to optimise how we collect and use customer data
Establishing a clear data strategy and vision for the value stream that represents the need and wants of our internal customers to drive business value whilst communicating the value stream vision to business colleagues, Engineering, Architecture, delivery teams and stakeholders.
Optimise value stream product costs to deliver customer and commercial value from our data related services, leveraging Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) mechanisms, data and insights.
Developing and communicating a compelling data product strategy that is aligned to an overall technology strategy, leveraging strategic vendor engagement and potential future direction.
Translating the vision and strategy into a product backlog for various data services (feature writing and Story writing, backlog slicing), along with identifying Minimum Viable Product (MVP), planning releases and delivery roadmaps for the product.
Working closely with other value stream and cross-line of business Product Owners and Architects to improve our collection and use of data and the data related services we own.
Supporting business and delivery team in clearly understanding backlog items, their priority and why those items are key to customer success and manage backlog to align with Product vision and priorities.
Working closely with developers, designers, and other stakeholders, fostering open communication, and building trust. This collaborative approach ensures smooth execution and timely delivery.
Analysing user data, tracking success metrics (OKRs, KPIs and SLAs), and leveraging insights to make informed decisions that optimise the product's performance, value and commercial (profit and loss) goals.
Skills Required;
- Experience in a Digital, Technical or User centric Product role
- Preferably having a background in a Architectural or Technical role in a data context
- Knowledge around roadmaps and onboarding processes as well as KYC/CDD solutions or similar products.
- Experience in teams and dealing with Enterprise, Solution or Data Architects.
