Summary: The Data Product Manager role is a 3–6-month contract based in Manchester or London, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days per week. The position involves managing internal Data & CRM platforms, creating data visualization tools, and ensuring alignment with data governance practices. The role demands collaboration with stakeholders to define product roadmaps and deliver data products that enhance business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define a roadmap for the Data team and shape team goals and strategies.
  • Document solutions and run training and demos of products.
  • Help specify, build, and deliver data products, including dashboards and visualizations.
  • Manage existing data products and respond to change requests.
  • Ensure new assets comply with data governance practices and data privacy.
  • Support and drive team collaboration, prioritizing work and facilitating decision-making.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in Data product management.
  • Understanding of data platforms (e.g., data warehouse/data lake) using cloud technologies.
  • Ability to translate stakeholder goals into successful products and performance metrics.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Looker) and data tooling (e.g., BigQuery, Alation, DBT, Fivetran, Airflow).
  • Experience with structured data and understanding of data modeling and management practices.
  • Strong people skills for interacting with technical and non-technical roles.
  • Desirable experience in Editorial/Media/Publishing or CRM.

Data Product Manager 3–6-month contract Manchester/London (onsite 2-3 days per week) Inside IR35 £500-600 per day Interviews: w/c 08/09 Data Product Manager will take ownership of the internal Data & CRM platforms and create easy to use data visualisation platforms and dashboards to help drive business performance, internal reporting.

About Data Product Manager Role Deliver value to your stakeholders by defining a roadmap for the Data team, shaping the team’s goals and strategies, documenting solutions, running training and demos of products Help specify, build and deliver data products, including new data warehouse assets, dashboards and visualisations, enabling our internal team of data scientists and analysts Manage existing data products, responding to change requests and feedback in an environment of continuous improvement Ensure new assets are built according to the client's data governance practices, defining data product ownership and ensuring data privacy Support and drive the team in a highly collaborative environment, prioritising the right work, facilitating the decision-making process and escalating where required Data Product Manager will take ownership of the internal Data & CRM platforms and create easy to use data visualisation platforms and dashboards to help drive business performance, internal reporting.

Data Product Manager Must Have Demonstrated experience in Data product management, ideally with experience working with data products and an understanding of data platforms (e.g. data warehouse/data lake) using cloud-based technologies Proven experience of understanding stakeholder goals and turning them into successful products and product performance metrics. Has the drive and energy to keep up with a diverse set of stakeholders and can speak their language, including Analysts, Data Scientists and BI Teams Enjoys the detail and problem solving whilst being able to communicate the bigger picture with strong interpersonal and influencing skills Knowledge of data analysis would be beneficial, (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Looke), as well as knowledge of data tooling (e.g. BigQuery, Alation, DBT, Fivetran, Airflow) Experience of working with structured data, and a basic understanding of the main concepts of data modelling, databases, and data management practices.
