Summary: Data Product Lead / Data Product Owner is sought for a consultancy role in London, requiring extensive experience in developing data products within Financial Services, particularly in Asset Management or Wealth environments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of data products within Public Markets, collaborating with investment teams, Trading, and Technology/Operations.
  • Define, prioritize, and deliver scalable data products aligned to front-office workflows.
  • Ensure products are analytics and AI-ready, focusing on structure, metadata, quality, and lineage.
  • Deliver measurable outcomes in insight, efficiency, and growth.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Data Product Owner or Manager or Business Data Lead within Asset Management / Wealth financial services environments.
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, data architecture/design, data quality & governance, and data lineage within modern data platforms.
  • Understanding of Agile principles.
  • Ability to use both qualitative and quantitative data in analysis.
  • Experience with front-office platforms (PMS/OMS/EMS/research) and market/vendor data (pricing, fundamentals, ESG).
  • Strong stakeholder management; able to influence senior front-office users.
  • Analytical, commercially aware, and delivery-focused Agile/product-led delivery experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new work, teams, and challenges and the ability to meet deadlines.

Data Product Lead / Data Product Owner needed for our Consultancy client in London. The right candidate must have extensive demonstrable experience driving the development of data products within Financial Services environments, including experience working on Data related products and projects within Asset Management or Wealth environments.

The role is Inside IR35 (candidates must engage via an FCSA accredited Umbrella company) and requires candidates to work 3-days per week onsite in central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development of data products within Public Markets bridging investment teams (Equities, Credit, Multi-Asset, Quant), Trading, and Technology/Operations to define, prioritise, and deliver scalable data products aligned to front-office workflows. As part of the role you will need to ensure products are analytics and AI-ready (structure, metadata, quality, lineage) and deliver measurable outcomes in insight, efficiency, and growth.
