Job Title: Data Privacy & Security Senior Specialist

Location: Gaydon

Rate:  31.35ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or  23.85ph PAYE

Employment Type: Contract (Currently financed until March 2025)

Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week

Job Description:

This role sits within the Data Advisory Team within Product Engineering to review and risk assess Product Engineering Projects that handle personal data in line with the EU and UK Data Protection Legislation (EU/UK General Data Protection Act, GDPR). Such projects may include: in-vehicle infotainment features, cloud-based processing, software development, Mobile Apps, Assisted and Automotive Driving technologies, Connected vehicle products and services.

The successful candidate will advise Engineering colleagues on the privacy requirements that their project must comply with by identifying and articulating privacy compliance risks complex data flows the role of third parties handling data international data transfers industry specific guidelines data minimisation techniques data subject rights adherence.

Skills Required:

• Legal or technology specialist.


• Evidence of having completed Privacy risk assessments.


• Very good written skills with a clear and coherent CV.

Experience Required:

• Strong proven experience working as a dedicated Privacy Professional.

Experience Preferred:

Qualifications:

• CIPP/E qualification: or Law degree: or Engineering/ IT degree: or Qualified lawyer

Desirable:

• Previous experience advising on technical or technology-based processes e.g. Automotive, Engineering, IT, Software Development, Banking.

Additional Information:

Hybrid 3 days in office, maybe more depending on business needs.
