Summary: The Data Privacy & Security Manager will serve as a subject matter expert within the Data Advisory Team, focusing on risk assessment and compliance with data protection legislation for complex Product Engineering projects. The role involves advising engineering colleagues on privacy requirements and managing data flows, particularly in relation to personal data handling and international transfers. The position requires strong communication skills to convey complex legal concepts to technical teams. This is a contract role with a specified end date of March 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert within the Data Advisory Team.
- Review and risk assess complex Product Engineering projects handling personal data.
- Advise engineering colleagues on privacy requirements and compliance.
- Identify and articulate high-risk data processing flows and third-party roles.
- Ensure adherence to industry-specific guidelines and data subject rights.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a dedicated Privacy Professional.
- Experience advising on technical processes in sectors like Automotive, Engineering, IT, Software Development, or Banking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal arguments effectively.
- CIPP/E qualification, Law degree, Engineering/IT degree, or Qualified Lawyer.
