Summary: The Data Privacy & Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing data privacy and security within a luxury automotive OEM in Gaydon. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert, reviewing complex projects related to personal data, and advising engineering teams on privacy requirements in compliance with EU and UK legislation. The position is a 14-month contract with hybrid working arrangements. Candidates must have valid eligibility to work in the UK and travel within the EU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an SME within the Data Advisory team in Product Engineering.
- Review and risk assess complex Product Engineering projects handling personal data.
- Advise Engineering colleagues on Privacy requirements.
- Identify and articulate high-risk processing of complex data flows and third-party data handling.
- Ensure adherence to international data transfers, industry-specific guidelines, data minimization techniques, and data subject rights.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a dedicated Privacy professional.
- Experience advising on technical/technology-based processes.
- Ability to communicate complex legal arguments to Engineering colleagues.
- CIPP/E qualification, Law degree, Engineering/IT degree, or Qualified lawyer.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is beneficial.
