Summary: The Data Privacy Consultant role involves designing and implementing data loss prevention controls and conducting privacy risk assessments to ensure compliance with data protection regulations. The consultant will act as a trusted advisor, translating data protection requirements into practical guidance for stakeholders. This position is hybrid, requiring one day a week in Warwickshire, and offers a competitive day rate. The contract length is between 3 to 6 months, with a start date in February 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and enhance DLP controls, policies, and processes to reduce the risk of data leakage.
- Support and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk assessments.
- Assess data sharing arrangements to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, providing clear guidance on data protection requirements.
- Contribute to the development of data protection policies and operating models across client organisations.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in data protection, privacy, or information governance roles.
- Practical experience with Data Loss Prevention concepts and tooling.
- Experience supporting or leading DPIAs and privacy risk assessments.
- Solid understanding of data protection regulations (e.g. UK GDPR / EU GDPR).
- Experience with privacy management tools (e.g. OneTrust) is desirable.

Technical Project Manager - Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance DLP controls, policies, and processes to reduce the risk of data leakage across systems and platforms.
- Support and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk assessments for new and existing products, systems, and data uses.
- Assess data sharing arrangements, including inter-company and third-party data flows, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations and contractual obligations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, translating data protection requirements into clear, practical guidance.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data protection policies, standards, and operating models across client organisations.
Technical Project Manager - Required Experience
- Proven experience working in data protection, privacy, or information governance roles, ideally within a consultancy or multi-client environment.
- Practical experience with Data Loss Prevention concepts, tooling, and operational processes (e.g. endpoint, email, cloud, or network DLP).
- Demonstrable experience supporting or leading DPIAs, privacy risk assessments, and data sharing reviews.
- Solid understanding of data protection regulations (e.g. UK GDPR / EU GDPR) and how they apply in real-world business and technical contexts.
- Experience with privacy management tools (e.g. OneTrust – desirable, not essential) and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
