Summary: The Privacy Assessment Manager role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Sheffield, England, focusing on data privacy compliance and the execution of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). The position requires collaboration across business units to assess privacy risks and maintain compliance documentation while adapting to regulatory changes. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of UK GDPR and DPA 2018, along with strong analytical and communication skills. This role is critical in embedding privacy by design within the organization during a transformational period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support formal Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy assessments, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with various business units to assess privacy risks related to new projects and third-party suppliers, clearly communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain precise compliance documentation, including records of processing activities, risk assessments, and legitimate interests, to demonstrate lawful processing.
  • Work closely with the Assurance and Governance teams to ensure consistency and quality across all privacy initiatives, reinforcing a strong compliance framework.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of privacy processes and tools, ensuring regulatory requirements are met and adapt to evolving legal landscapes.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in data protection or privacy impact assessments, DSAR's with a solid understanding of UK GDPR and DPA 2018 requirements.
  • Between 1-3 years relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to deliver practical solutions to complex privacy issues.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with excellent communication and negotiation skills to foster effective relationships.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and varied workload while adapting to a rapidly changing environment.

Salary (Rate): £42,000.00
