Summary: The Data & Power BI Consultant role is a 9-month fixed-term contract based in London, focusing on a critical data transformation program within a financial services business.   • Promote data literacy and value across the organisation — from C-suite to end users.
  • Work closely with internal data leads and support the upskilling of junior team members.
  • Act as a senior voice within the data team, helping shape workflows and technical standards.
  • Foster a collaborative, performance-driven team environment.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in BI and data warehousing, ideally within financial services.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Power BI experience (Power Query, DAX, data modelling).
  • Strong skills in SQL and data transformation.
  • Comfortable working with external vendors and internal stakeholders alike.
  • Familiarity with financial services platforms (e.g., CRM, portfolio/risk tools) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of UK data compliance and regulations (e.g. GDPR, FCA).
  • Strong communicator with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.
  • Experience with tools such as Pulse, XPLAN, Bita Risk, PowerApps, or First Rate.

London Hybrid £70,000 pro rata (~£52.5k total) Fixed-Term Contract Temp-to-Perm Potential

A dynamic and growing financial services business is seeking a Data and Power BI Consultant to join on a 9-month FTC. This is a key role in a business-critical data transformation programme, with the opportunity to influence how data is structured, used, and understood across the organisation.

You will work closely with data leadership, business stakeholders, and external partners to help drive the development of a centralised Data Warehouse, deliver strategic reporting via Power BI, and embed a stronger culture of data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Analytics Delivery

  • Lead the development of Power BI dashboards and advanced data reporting (including SQL).
