Summary: The Data Platform Engineer role focuses on developing and maintaining data platforms, primarily utilizing AWS and other cloud services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data platforms using AWS and OCI Cloud data services.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Manage replication and streaming technologies, including IBM CDC and Confluent Kafka.
  • Administer Couchbase clusters, including version upgrades and performance tuning.
  • Automate processes using Python and Shell scripting, and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Ensure high availability of production systems through node scaling and rebalancing.
  • Communicate effectively across IST and US Eastern time zones.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in data platform engineering.
  • Expertise in AWS services such as RDS, Redshift, DMS, and Lambda.
  • Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases, particularly Couchbase.

Role: Data Platform Engineer (OnShore) Location: Bracknell, UK 3 Months rolling extension

Core Requirements

Experience : 5+ years in data platform engineering .

Cloud Expertise : AWS : RDS, Redshift, DMS, Lambda. OCI Cloud data services.

Infrastructure-as-Code : Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.

Replication & Streaming : IBM CDC replication technologies. Confluent Kafka. IBM Voltage encryption.

NoSQL Expertise : Strong in Couchbase cluster management. Version upgrades, security patching, performance tuning. High availability via node scaling and rebalancing.
