Summary: The Data Modeler role requires SC clearance and involves analyzing existing data structures, mapping data flows, and designing scalable data models for a managed service provider. The position is primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings in London. The candidate will work independently to create and maintain data documentation and models that support future data landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse current data structures and understand system to system data flows.
- Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including ERDs and technical data flow diagrams.
- Create TO BE data models for new solutions.
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries and clear data documentation.
- Apply concepts of master data, reference data, and downstream/secondary systems.
- Work independently to interpret complex data environments and translate them into structured models.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in data modelling or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of data integration patterns and data governance concepts.
- Proficiency with data modelling tools (eg, ERWin, PowerDesigner, Lucidchart, Visio).
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of MDM and reference data principles.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
