Summary: Our client, a leading global consultancy, is seeking a Data Modeler/Architect for a 6-month contract in London, focusing on a Master Data Management (MDM) program within the financial services sector. The role requires expertise in data modeling and architecture, with responsibilities including designing data models and ensuring data governance. The position is office-based in Stratford, London, and offers a competitive day rate. Candidates should have a strong background in data modeling tools and experience in financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for MDM and enterprise applications
- Create end-to-end data lifecycle flows, mapped to both logical models and physical systems
- Maintain comprehensive data dictionaries, metadata, and entity relationship diagrams
- Translate business requirements into optimized data structures and schemas
- Define and enforce data governance standards and best practices
- Model both structured and unstructured data for relational and NoSQL environments
- Ensure security, integrity, and compliance across data models
- Implement data models on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake
- Contribute to data integration, migration, and reconciliation strategies
Key Skills:
- 7+ years’ experience in data modeling and Master Data Management (MDM)
- Strong hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, PowerDesigner, or ER/Studio
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with platforms like Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, BigQuery
- Background in financial services, capital markets, or technology consulting
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and compliance standards
- Experience with ETL processes, APIs, and real-time data integration
- Familiarity with modern cloud data ecosystems
- Experience with both on-prem and cloud data platforms
- Exposure to enterprise CRM and Finance systems from a data modelling perspective

About the Role
