Summary: The Data Migration Manager will lead the data migration strategy and execution for a major IT transformation program, focusing on various systems including ERP and Salesforce. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure successful data governance and migration across multiple workstreams. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite work in Surrey two days a week, and is outside IR35. The contract is for 5 months with a likely extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver the data migration strategy, planning, and execution.
- Lead data mapping, ETL, and interface/integration specifications.
- Deliver artefacts including data migration plans, test cases, validation reports, and data catalogues.
- Manage and coordinate dry-run migrations, issue backlogs, triage, and resolution.
- Oversee data governance, data models, and reporting requirements (Day 1 readiness and beyond).
- Lead and coordinate the data migration team, working with IT and business streams.
- Provide input into wider solution and data architecture as needed.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Migration Manager on large-scale transformation or carve-out programmes.
- Strong background in data migration, ETL, data modelling, and data governance.
- Hands-on experience across ERP, HR, CRM (Salesforce), O365/SharePoint, and security (AD, PAM).
- Ability to manage technical delivery teams and coordinate complex migration activities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, working across IT and business functions.

We're looking for an experienced Data Migration Manager to join a major IT transformation programme. You'll be responsible for leading data migration strategy, execution, and governance across multiple workstreams, blending in architecture expertise where needed.

As the Data Migration Manager, you will:
