Summary: The Data Migration Lead will spearhead the data migration and integration efforts for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations within a forward-thinking organization. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure a seamless migration process, focusing on data integrity and operational efficiency. The position requires proven experience in ERP data migration, particularly from AX2012 to D365 F&O, and strong management skills to oversee complex workstreams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing a coordinated data migration and integration plan, including dependencies.
  • Collaborating with data architects and suppliers to finalise architecture design.
  • Defining scope, resource requirements, and testing strategies.
  • Overseeing data quality, cleansing, and validation activities.
  • Managing the data migration backlog and tracking progress using Azure DevOps.
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for all migration-related issues.
  • Ensuring effective communication and coordination across project teams.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance standards and policies.
  • Presenting progress updates to project leadership and stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in ERP data migration, ideally from AX2012 to D365 F&O.
  • Experience with D365 F&O and AX2012 data import/export capabilities.
  • Familiarity with system integration technologies (e.g., Web services, SOAP).
  • Knowledge of enterprise and data architecture frameworks.
  • Experience with both on-premise and cloud-based ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex workstreams and deliver results.
