Summary: The Data Migration Developer role focuses on supporting a large-scale transformation of a Mortgage & Property platform by mapping, cleansing, migrating, and reconciling complex data. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on data expertise and strong domain knowledge in the mortgage lifecycle and property valuations. This position requires collaboration across various teams to ensure successful data integration and migration. The role emphasizes delivering controlled and auditable migrations with a focus on stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert-level SQL for joins, window functions, DQ checks, and reconciliation queries.
  • Exposure to ETL tooling (SSIS, ADF, Informatica); advanced Excel/Power BI.
  • Produce detailed data-mapping specifications, data dictionaries, and sample datasets.
  • Catalogue and design interfaces (API, ETL, file-based) for all downstream systems.
  • Define message/file contracts, ownership, frequency, and cutover approach.
  • Prove E2E integrations (SIT/UAT) with control totals, idempotency, retry logic, and back-out plans.
  • Deliver operational artefacts - schedules, monitoring/alerting, runbooks, and data-replay procedures.
  • Collaborate with Product, BAs, SMEs, Engineers, and Vendor partners.
  • Facilitate workshops to capture business rules and translate them into testable data logic.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Handle property data touchpoints such as valuations, collateral, and lease data.

We're seeking an experienced Data Migration & Integration Analyst to support a large-scale Mortgage & Property platform transformation. The role will work across product, SME, vendor, and engineering teams to map, cleanse, migrate, and reconcile complex mortgage and property data into a new strategic platform (eg Horizon or equivalent).

The ideal candidate combines hands-on data expertise (SQL, ETL, profiling, reconciliation) with strong domain knowledge (mortgage life cycle, property valuations/collateral) and a proven record of delivering controlled, auditable migrations.

Core Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Profiling (18%)

  • Expert-level SQL for joins, window functions, DQ checks, and reconciliation queries.
  • Exposure to ETL tooling ( SSIS, ADF, Informatica ); advanced Excel/Power BI.
