Data Migration Consultant
Summary: Masentó is seeking a Data Migration Consultant to assist with a migration to SAP S/4 HANA for a leading customer. This role is an initial 6-month contract with potential for extension and requires travel to Leeds for key program phases. The consultant will be responsible for designing and executing the data migration strategy, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute the end-to-end data migration strategy from legacy JD Edwards into SAP S/4HANA
- Lead data extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, and load activities across master and transactional data objects (e.g. material master, customer/vendor master, BOMs, open orders, financial balances)
- Define and build data migration objects using SAP migration tooling (e.g. SAP Migration Cockpit, LTMC/LTMOM, LSMW, or equivalent ETL tools)
- Work closely with functional workstream leads to agree data mapping rules from JDE source structures to SAP target structures
- Own data quality management throughout the project, including profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation
- Plan and execute mock loads, dress rehearsals, and cutover data loads
- Support validation and reconciliation of migrated data against legacy JDE records
- Produce and maintain data migration documentation, including mapping specs, cutover run-sheets, and data quality reports
- Support regulatory/validation requirements (GxP, CSV) where operating in a regulated pharma/life sciences environment
- Liaise with SI partners, functional teams, and client data owners to ensure data readiness at each milestone
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience delivering data migration from JD Edwards to SAP S/4HANA
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP data migration tools (Migration Cockpit, LTMC/LTMOM, LSMW, BODS, or similar)
- Proven experience with data extraction and transformation from JDE source systems
- Strong understanding of SAP data structures across core modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP as relevant)
- Experience running mock loads, cutover rehearsals, and go-live data loads
- Strong data quality, reconciliation, and validation skillset
