Summary: The Data Mapping Specialist will join a Global Organisation to support their Strategic Data Programme, focusing on data design and mapping rather than development. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop data mappings, design data structures, and ensure compliance with data governance initiatives. The specialist will also contribute to maintaining the Enterprise Architecture Repository and support data lineage and traceability efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain source-to-target data mappings for system migrations and builds.
- Design and document data structures, data dictionaries, and ERDs.
- Collaborate with BAs, architects, and technical teams to ensure accurate data flow and integration.
- Support data lineage, traceability, and governance compliance across systems.
- Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture Repository, maintaining data artefact consistency.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in data mapping, modelling, and design within complex data landscapes.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles (relational & hierarchical).
- Ability to create and interpret ERDs, data flow diagrams, and mapping documents.
- Experience with metadata management and data governance frameworks.
- Skilled in Enterprise Architecture tools (e.g. Ardoq, Sparx EA, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills.

This is a hands-on data design and mapping role, not a developer position. The specialist will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to:
