Summary: The Technical Data Migration Lead (IFS Cloud) is responsible for overseeing the data migration lifecycle for a significant IFS Cloud implementation. This role requires technical expertise in data extraction, transformation, and integration, while ensuring that development teams adhere to timelines and deliverables. The Lead will also collaborate with project management and business stakeholders to ensure data quality and readiness for go-live in early 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical delivery of data extraction, migration, and integration activities into IFS Cloud
  • Act as the technical authority for all data migration workstreams, providing hands-on expertise across extraction, transformation, and load (ETL)
  • Challenge and hold development teams accountable for agreed timelines and deliverables, ensuring programme milestones are met
  • Collaborate with the existing Project Manager to ensure a cohesive and structured migration approach
  • Review and validate existing data migration definitions, identifying any gaps and proposing effective solutions
  • Develop and oversee the detailed cutover plan to support UAT and production go-live readiness
  • Work with business SMEs to validate data quality and transformation rules prior to migration execution
  • Liaise with integration teams to ensure seamless connections between IFS Cloud and external solutions such as Ginetiq and Intact POS
  • Support issue resolution during data testing, UAT, and cutover rehearsals
  • Provide clear, concise technical updates to stakeholders across IT and business teams
