Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of data governance frameworks and standards
- Drive improvements in data quality, lineage, and metadata management
- Work with stakeholders to establish data ownership and stewardship
- Support use and adoption of data cataloguing and governance tools
- Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements (GDPR)
- Collaborate with data architecture and data management teams
Key Skills:

We're supporting a global travel leader in scaling their data governance and data management capability, with a focus on improving data quality, metadata, and regulatory alignment across their data platform.
They are looking for a Junior Data Governance Manager to join their London-based team, working closely with data, product, and business stakeholders.
The Role
This is not a data engineering role - the focus is on data governance, quality, and management across a large-scale, data-driven environment.
You'll support the rollout of governance frameworks and help drive better data practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of data governance frameworks and standards
- Drive improvements in data quality, lineage, and metadata management
- Work with stakeholders to establish data ownership and stewardship
- Support use and adoption of data cataloguing and governance tools
- Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements (GDPR)
- Collaborate with data architecture and data management teams
Required Experience
- Experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles
- Strong understanding of:
- Data quality
- Metadata
- Data lineage
- Hands-on exposure to tools such as:
- Collibra (key)
- Monte Carlo (desirable)
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and/or Python
- Experience working in cloud data environments
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AI tools (eg Claude)
- Experience in large, data-driven organisations
- Background in travel, e-commerce, or digital platforms
- Awareness of Snowflake (beneficial, not essential)
Important
- This role requires careful level alignment - suited to candidates with solid governance experience stepping into a broader ownership role
