Summary: The role of Data Governance Analyst involves embedding data governance and promoting data literacy within an organization. The position requires three days of on-site work in central London and offers a competitive daily rate. The candidate will work closely with various teams to enhance data culture and facilitate effective communication between technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embed data governance and data literacy into the organization.
  • Build structured learning paths, training schedules, or educational curriculum.
  • Collaborate with product owners, data architects, data designers, data engineers, or BI engineers.
  • Customize and increase the use of a Data Catalogue (e.g., Alation, Collibra, OvalEdge).
  • Navigate modern data stacks and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to various audiences.
  • Speak "technical data language" with engineers and "business value language" with stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in data governance and data literacy.
  • Experience in building educational curriculum and training schedules.
  • 3+ years in data analytics, instructional design, corporate training, or data enablement.
  • Experience with Data Catalogue tools.
  • Experience in consumer-focused organizations.
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to bridge technical and business communication.

I am searching for a Data Governance to join a client of my on London. The role will require 3 days on site in central London and paying £450 per day INSIDE IR35.

Experience

  • Proven experience in embedding data governance and data literacy and/or data culture into an organisation
  • Proven experience building structured learning paths, training schedules, or educational curriculum.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, instructional design, corporate training, product adoption, or a hybrid role focused on data enablement.
  • Experience customising and increasing use of a Data Catalogue eg Alation, Collibra, OvalEdge
  • Experience working within teams of product owners, data architects, data designers, data engineers or BI engineers
  • Experience working in a consumer-focused organisation
  • Comfortable navigating modern data stacks and visualization tools (eg, Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to understand what users are working with.
  • Effective written and spoken communication to break down complex or technical concepts to address different audiences.
  • Ability to speak "technical data language" with engineers and "business value language" with business stakeholders.
