Key Responsibilities
- Profile and analyse data to identify quality issues affecting management information and reporting.
- Investigate data defects and perform root cause analysis to trace issues back to source systems or business processes.
- Define and document business rules to improve data quality and consistency.
- Design reconciliation processes and data quality controls.
- Work collaboratively with business and technical teams to implement sustainable improvements.
- Support the transition of data quality controls into operational ownership.
- Promote best practice in data governance and data quality management.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance (must already be held).
- Proven experience in data quality and data governance.
- Strong experience with:
- Data profiling
- Defect analysis
- Root cause investigation
- Reconciliation and control design
- Business rules definition and documentation
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to interrogate and analyse complex datasets.
- Experience working across technical and business teams to resolve data quality issues.
Desirable Experience
- Data governance frameworks.
- Data lineage and data catalogue tools.
- Working closely with MI and reporting teams to improve upstream data quality.
- Experience transitioning data quality controls into operational ownership.
- Public sector experience.
