Summary: A leading IT Consultancy is looking for a Data ETL Test Engineer on a contract basis, requiring a few days of onsite work each week in either Leeds or Newcastle. The role demands proficiency in Python and strong knowledge of ETL processes, particularly within AWS environments. Candidates should have experience with data testing frameworks and tools, as well as familiarity with SQL and CI/CD tools. The position emphasizes strong analytical skills and proven experience in data testing roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain automated test scripts in Python.
- Utilize ETL processes and tools, especially within AWS environments.
- Implement data testing frameworks and tools.
- Query and validate data using SQL.
- Integrate automated tests using CI/CD tools.
- Analyze and interpret large datasets to ensure data quality.
- Troubleshoot complex data issues effectively.
- Work within Agile methodologies and environments.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Python.
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes and tools, particularly AWS (e.g., AWS Glue, Lambda, Redshift).
- Experience with data testing frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with SQL.
- Experience with CI/CD tools.
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud services.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience as a Data Test Engineer or ETL Tester.
- Experience with automation frameworks for data testing in Python.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
