Summary: The Data Entry & Process Support Specialist role is a 3-month interim contract focused on assisting with data migration and documentation tasks for a national organization in the social care sector. The position requires transferring and validating data from Excel into Microsoft Business Central, ensuring accuracy and completeness. The specialist will also develop user-friendly process notes to support training and system use. This hands-on role is critical during the final phase of the project, requiring strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the migration of mass data from Excel spreadsheets into Business Central, ensuring all records are complete and accurate
  • Conduct data validation and testing to confirm accuracy and system integrity
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, liaising with finance and project teams as needed
  • Assist in system testing and troubleshooting during the implementation phase
  • Develop clear, tailored process notes and user guides for internal teams
  • Work closely with the project and finance teams to streamline and document workflows
  • Support wider process improvement and ensure a smooth transition to the new system

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems
  • Strong IT literacy with advanced Excel skills (data manipulation, lookups, pivot tables)
  • Previous experience in data migration, mapping, or system implementation
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity
  • Ability to translate technical processes into simple, user-friendly documentation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Data Entry & Process Support Specialist 3-Month Interim Contract | Petersfield (1 Day On-Site per Week) £37,500–£42,500 per annum equivalent (Inside IR35) We’re working with a well-established national organisation in the social care and not-for-profit sector currently implementing Microsoft Business Central . They’re seeking an organised and detail-driven Data Entry & Process Support Specialist to assist with critical data migration and documentation tasks during the final phase of the project. This hands-on interim role will focus on transferring and validating data from Excel into Business Central, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency ahead of system go-live. You’ll also help design and produce clear, user-friendly process notes to support ongoing training and system use across the organisation.
