Summary: The Data Engineering Consultant role focuses on supporting a major digital transformation in a FinTech environment, specifically in building scalable data pipelines and enhancing FinOps and MLOps capabilities. The position requires expertise in areas such as MLOps, ETL/Data Lakes, or SQL tuning. The role offers a contract for 9 months with a competitive daily rate and is classified as outside IR35. Key Responsibilities:
- Build high-throughput, scalable data pipelines.
- Develop model deployment pipelines and CI/CD for ML tools.
- Design ingestion pipelines for batch and streaming data.
- Optimize queries and database performance for high-transaction workloads.
- Collaborate with data science teams to scale ML in production.
- Integrate data lakes and warehouse solutions.
- Write production-grade code in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
Key Skills:
- Experience with MLOps, ETL/Data Lakes, or SQL tuning.
- Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to write production-grade code in Python, SQL, or similar.
- Prior experience in FinTech, SaaS, or consulting preferred.
- Familiarity with tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Docker/Kubernetes, Airbyte, and Fivetran.
