Data Engineering & Analytics Practice Lead - Contract

Summary: The Data Engineering & Analytics Practice Lead will be responsible for driving cloud-based data solutions using AWS and Snowflake on a contract basis in a hybrid work environment. This role involves leading technical strategy, responding to RFPs, mentoring teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable and secure analytics environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data and analytics, particularly with AWS platforms and Snowflake. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive cloud-based data solutions using AWS and Snowflake.
• Lead technical strategy and respond to RFPs.
• Mentor teams and ensure successful delivery of analytics environments.
• Design and deliver scalable data architectures focusing on security and governance.
• Lead solutioning efforts including technical architecture and client presentations.
• Create technical proposals aligned with customer priorities.
• Present solutions to clients and lead defense during evaluations.
• Guide and mentor competency teams; develop internal frameworks and accelerators.
• Collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders effectively.
• Work independently and adapt to evolving requirements.

Key Skills:

• 13-18 years of experience in Data & Analytics, with 10+ years on AWS data platforms.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture and governance.
• Hands-on experience with ETL, DWH, metadata, and security on AWS and Snowflake.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Minimum 2 AWS certifications in data/analytics/AI; SnowPro certification preferred.
• Knowledge in Python, DBT, Matillion, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Data Mesh is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and modern AI/ML services desirable.
