Summary: This Data Engineer role is with a large consultancy working on a project for a government body, requiring active SC clearance. The position involves data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and making data usable from various organizational systems. The role is primarily on-site in Telford, with one day per week required at the office. The successful candidate will utilize various ETL tools and methodologies to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract, clean, and transform data from different organizational systems.
- Utilize ETL tools such as Pentaho and Talend.
- Implement data virtualization using Denodo.
- Conduct data analysis, orchestration, and reporting using SAS.
- Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies in project execution.
- Work with DevOps technologies including Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Develop strong SQL skills and apply data modeling principles.
Key Skills:
- Active SC Clearance.
- Strong experience with ETL tools: Pentaho and Talend.
- Experience with Denodo for data virtualization.
- Proficiency in SAS for data analysis, orchestration, and reporting.
- Solid working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps technologies: Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
