I am recruiting for a Data Engineer to work on a hybrid basis - 3 days in London, 2 days remote.
The role falls inside IR35 so you will need to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.
I am are looking for a Data Engineer who is not merely an ETL tool operator, but someone who has a deep understanding of data platforms and can independently analyse and resolve issues.
The most important requirement is strong expertise in PL/SQL. The candidate should be able to independently investigate database issues, improve performance, and respond to incidents. Rather than simply being able to use tools, the candidate needs to understand how the underlying mechanisms work and be capable of identifying root causes when problems occur.
ETL experience is welcome but not mandatory. The main priority is the ability to understand data structures and processing logic, and to lead issue resolution using PL/SQL.
I am looking for someone who understands the internal workings of a data platform and can investigate and fix issues when problems arise. ETL experience is a plus, but it is not the core requirement.
