Data Engineer - Part time contract 2 days per week - 6 Month Duration - 400 to 500 per day outside IR35 - Newcastle Hybrid working The Developer Link are working with a Newcastle based start-up focused on building AI powered automated report solutions within the Marketing Data space. Their product automates the process of reporting and gives marketers the tools they need to extract valuable information for their clients as fast as possible. They are looking for a Mid-Senior level Data Engineer contractor who has a passion for start-ups and ideally some experience building data-driven products/SAAS Solutions. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using tools like Airbyte, SQL, and other ETL processes.- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to build and optimize our data infrastructure for scalability.- Be able to manage and teach junior developers. - Ensure data quality and integrity across our databases and data warehouses.- Work on data modelling, warehousing, and ensuring the performance of data retrieval processes.- Participate in the development of our SaaS products by integrating data engineering best practices.- Be available for monthly onsite meetings to collaborate with the team and ensure alignment on key projects.Qualifications- Proven experience as a developer and Data Engineer, preferably in a startup environment.- Hands-on experience with data tools like Airbyte, SQL, Looker, and other BI systems.- Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines for SaaS products.- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modelling.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams as well as documenting processes and reporting to the stakeholders involved with the production of the platform.Please apply with your CV if interested or contact mike@thedeveloperlink.io for more info.
