Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage data pipelines and implement data engineering solutions.
- Design and implement modern data architectures using Microsoft Fabric/Data Factory and Databricks.
- Work on data integration, transformation, and delivery for data users across the EMEA region.
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers and vendors to establish foundational architecture.
- Develop reporting layers for the global team and push data through medallion architecture.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric/Data Factory and Databricks.
- Experience in data management disciplines including integration, modeling, and quality.
- Familiarity with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database technologies.
- Knowledge of Apache technologies such as Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
- Experience with migration projects and management systems like SAP, ERP, or CRM.
- Proficiency in data languages/tools such as R, Python, and SAS.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and management.

Your new role
Joining an exciting data strategy programme of work and are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join the team. You will play a crucial role in building and managing data pipelines and implementing data engineering/architectural solutions that enable efficient and reliable data integration, transformation and delivery for all data users across the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa ) Region.
You will be implementing a foundational architecture via Telephonica (dealing with 3rd party suppliers and vendors). Looking at architecture and build out reporting layers to the global team. Building out data pipelines/pushing them through medallion architecture (through bronze/silver layers).
What you'll need to succeed
- Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures - Microsoft Fabric/Data Factory and modern data warehouse technologies - Databricks a must!
- Experience in data management disciplines, including data integration, modeling, optimisation, data quality and Master Data Management.
- Experience with database technologies such as RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle) or NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Knowledge in Apache technologies such as Spark, Kafka and Airflow to build scalable and efficient data pipelines.
- Have worked on migration projects and some experience with management systems such as SAP, ERP OR CRM would be desirable!
- Proficiency in data languages/tools such as R, Python, SAS
- Great communication skillset - liase with 3rd party suppliers, vendors and management at all levels.
