Summary: The role of Data Engineer at Digimasters involves designing, building, and optimizing data solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. This is a contract position based in London, requiring collaboration with both internal teams and client technical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration workflows using Microsoft Azure services.
- Implement and support Microsoft Fabric solutions, including dataflows and real-time analytics features.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes for business reporting and analytics.
- Optimize data architectures for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver aligned data solutions.
- Ensure high-quality, secure, and compliant data management practices.
- Support migration and modernization of legacy data systems into Azure environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows, implementing automation as needed.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines and architecture.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
- Direct experience delivering solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modelling and transformation.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks.
