Summary: This Data Engineer role focuses on developing Talend and Oracle RDS systems, requiring expertise in ETL tooling and Oracle databases. The position involves creating Talend frameworks, enhancing GitLab pipelines, and supporting testing phases. The role is based in Telford and classified as inside IR35, necessitating on-site work for two days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project artefacts including Talend jobs, Oracle DDL and SQL, and GitLab Pipeline enhancements.
- Create SA Warehouse integration views in Denodo HIP.
- Investigate and resolve defects/issues during testing phases.
- Review colleagues' development and test artefacts.
- Support Production promotion and warranty support.
- Conduct Component Testing of developed artefacts, including test data creation.
- Support QAs in conducting test phases and debugging issues.
- Create and execute test packs for Component Test automation.
- Support Performance Testing phase.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues and mentor junior engineers.

This developer role will be primarily working on Talend and Oracle RDS systems, creating new Talend framework and patterns. Experience of ETL tooling will be needed. Experience working in Oracle RDS databases will also be required.
Job spec:
