Data Engineer - Java/AWS

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/data processing solutions.
- Build solutions for data generation, collection, transformation, migration and deployment across systems.
- Ensure data quality, accessibility, reliability and performance across data platforms.
- Monitor and optimise data pipelines, identifying and resolving performance or reliability issues.
- Work across engineering and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Provide technical expertise, contribute to architectural and engineering decisions, and solve complex data challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Drive continuous improvement through new technologies and modern data engineering practices.
Key Skills & Experience
- Expert-level Data Engineering experience.
- Strong Java development experience.
- Advanced AWS experience.
- Advanced Apache Kafka and Kubernetes experience.
- Experience with ETL, data pipelines, data integration and large-scale data processing.
- Knowledge of Big Data engineering technologies and practices.
- Experience working across multiple technical teams and taking ownership of engineering decisions.
- SC Clearance would be preferred
