Data Engineer

Summary: The Data Engineer role involves working primarily with Talend and Oracle RDS systems to support the AEOI programme, which is expanding due to increased demand. Candidates must hold active SC clearance and have experience with ETL tooling, preferably Talend. The position requires a combination of technical skills and the ability to work on-site for two days a week in Telford. The contract duration is six months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Talend within the existing framework.
• Work with Oracle RDS databases to support data exchange projects.
• Collaborate with the team to expand existing capabilities in response to increased demand.
• Ensure compliance with security clearance requirements.

Key Skills:

• Active SC clearance.
• Experience with data ETL products, preferably Talend.
• Familiarity with Oracle RDS databases.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with AWS and GenAI is a plus.

Project - AEOI Projects - Pillar R7/ETR Exchange/NTJ Exchange/CRS Outbound Exchange Demand in the AEOI programme space is expected to increase necessitating the stand-up of an additional team and the expansion of existing teams to support.
This developer role will be primarily working on Talend and Oracle RDS systems, within our existing Talend framework and patterns. Experience of ETL tooling will be needed, preferably Talend but Pentaho/Informatica experience will be transferable. Experience working in Oracle RDS databases will also be required.
Must have:
