Summary: The role of Data Engineer involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that facilitate analytics and operational insights. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain robust data pipelines integrating data from operational systems, APIs and third-party platforms
- Build batch and near-Real Time ingestion processes with strong monitoring, logging and error handling
- Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics
- Manage workflow orchestration and scheduling (eg Airflow or similar)
- Support CI/CD, version control and deployments across dev, test and production environments
- Implement data quality checks, governance and documentation
- Collaborate with analysts, architects and technology teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions
Key Skills:
- Strong experience building data pipelines in modern data platforms
- Solid data modelling knowledge
- Experience with orchestration and scheduling tools
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with Azure data technologies (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory)
