Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid/London

Rate:  425/day Outside IR35

Duration: 3m to begin with

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to support the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from multiple sources into data warehouses.


• Work with NHS datasets and clinical systems, ensuring accurate and efficient data integration.


• Develop and optimise SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, transform, and load large datasets from diverse sources.


• Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to manage data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and clinical stakeholders, to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights.


• Ensure compliance with NHS data governance standards, including privacy, security, and interoperability.


• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.


• Familiarity with NHS data standards, including FHIR or HL7, is a plus.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in ETL processes, with hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud environments like AWS or Azure.


• Experience working with NHS data, including healthcare-specific systems, databases, and data standards.


• Proven ability to design and maintain scalable, high-performance data solutions in a cloud environment.


• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues.


• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database optimization.


• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
