Summary: Our client is seeking a Data Engineer for a 2-month contract, starting ASAP, with a preference for candidates experienced in financial services or building societies. The role involves designing and optimizing ETL workflows, data analysis, quality assurance, and enabling self-service reporting using Power BI. Collaboration with the Chief Data Scientist and continuous improvement of data workflows are also key aspects of the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimise ETL workflows to transfer data from Azure to AWS S3.
- Develop and maintain STATS files and data structures for financial, regulatory, and operational reports.
- Conduct thorough QA on all ETL processes and pipelines.
- Enable business users with Power BI self-service tools.
- Partner with the Chief Data Scientist and development team to translate data requirements into actionable solutions.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to data workflows, reporting, and architecture.
