Data Engineer, Bristol, £50,000

Company profile: One of Bristol’s oldest Legal institutions is currently in the process of delivering a brand new CMI/CRM System and is looking for a Date Engineer to help them on this journey. The business has a rich history dating back to the 19th century, and has established themselves as one of the UK’s leading law firms, with over 500 employees spread across 4 offices. They are undergoing an exciting period of digital transformation, expanding their IT team and utilising technologies such as Generative AI to improve their offering to their customers. You will play a key role in supporting the transformation of data from the firm’s existing systems to their new one (Built on MS Power Platform), as well as being responsible for data validation, and quality. Hybrid role, 2 days per week in the office. Please note this is a 6 month FTC with the capacity to extend.

Necessary experience:

  • Core Data Engineering: Proven experience in data transformation, migration, and working with data integration tools, particularly Microsoft ecosystem (Power Platform, Azure Data Factory)
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL skills for querying and data management, plus knowledge of data quality assurance techniques and validation processes
  • Data Management: Experience with programmatic data de-duplication and cleansing methods to maintain data integrity
  • Professional Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and excellent collaboration/communication skills for working with project managers, developers, and stakeholders
