Summary: We are working with a Public Sector organisation based in Bradford seeking a skilled Data Engineer to facilitate the migration from their current Azure Data Warehouse to Microsoft Fabric. The role emphasizes integrating various data sources into a central data warehouse and constructing efficient data pipelines. This position is offered as a 2-year fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate data solutions from Azure Data Warehouse to Microsoft Fabric
  • Integrate multiple data sources including risk databases, HR systems and other operational systems
  • Develop and maintain Azure Synapse pipelines for data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL)
  • Ensure data quality, consistency and integrity across all sources
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust data engineering solutions

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with Azure Data Warehouse and Microsoft Fabric
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining Azure Synapse pipelines
  • Proven track record in integrating multiple data sources into a single data warehouse
  • Strong ETL skills (data pulling, cleaning and transforming)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • No requirement for data analysis or reporting, this is a purely engineering role
