Summary: The role of Senior Data Engineer/Power BI Developer involves working with an investment bank in London on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data engineering solutions and BI reports.
- Collaborate with front-office teams to understand trading, risk, and market data requirements.
- Utilize SQL and programming languages to manipulate and analyze data.
- Implement BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik for data visualization.
- Work with cloud platforms and modern data architectures to enhance data processing capabilities.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Data Engineering or BI Development.

Essential:

- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data architectures.
Desirable:
- Background in financial services, particularly within investment banking or asset management.
- Experience working with time-series data and real-time data processing.
- Knowledge of risk metrics (VaR, Greeks, PnL attribution) and trading instruments (equities, derivatives, FX, etc.)
