Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations
- Develop and support ETL/ELT processes across multiple data sources
- Create and maintain SQL-based data models
- Deliver reporting, dashboarding and data visualisation solutions
- Integrate data from APIs and cloud-based services
- Support data quality, governance and best practices
- Contribute to CI/CD processes and engineering standards
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
- Collaborate within Agile delivery teams supporting critical digital services
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong data integration and pipeline development experience
- ETL/ELT design and implementation
- Advanced SQL and data modelling skills
- Experience with Qlik Sense and/or QlikView
- Hands-on experience with Kibana and Elasticsearch
- Dashboarding and data visualisation experience
- AWS or cloud-native data platform experience
- API-based data ingestion and integration
- CI/CD and Git experience
- Agile delivery experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Public Sector or Government experience
- Experience supporting live digital services or operational environments
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
