Key Responsibilities:

  • Support key data workstreams including data migration, reporting readiness, dashboard development, data quality, statutory reporting, and post go-live optimisation.
  • Work with NHS data and reporting, including national datasets and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Engage with EPR programmes and systems such as Nervecentre, Cerner, or Epic.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SSRS, and SQL.
  • Ensure data quality and governance, including cleansing, validating, and reconciling data.
  • Communicate complex data insights to clinical, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with NHS data and reporting.
  • Experience with EPR systems and their implementation.
  • Proficiency in reporting and dashboarding tools.

NHS Data Consultant | Contract Role

We’re looking for an experienced NHS Data Consultant to support a digital transformation programme within the NHS. This role would suit someone who is confident working across data, reporting and EPR delivery someone who can take complex clinical, operational and technical requirements and turn them into clear, useful reporting and insight. You’ll be supporting key data workstreams across the programme, including data migration, reporting readiness, dashboard development, data quality, statutory reporting and post go-live optimisation.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience across:

  • NHS data and reporting Including national datasets and statutory reporting requirements such as SUS, HES, RTT, ECDS, SitRep and CSDS, alongside local performance, operational and financial reporting.
  • EPR programmes Experience working with EPR systems such as Nervecentre, Cerner or Epic, ideally across implementation, optimisation, data migration, validation and reporting workstreams.
  • Dashboards and insight Strong reporting and dashboarding experience using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SSRS and SQL, with the ability to build meaningful “ward-to-board” reporting for clinical, operational and executive teams.
  • Data quality and governance A good understanding of data quality, IG, DSPT and NHS reporting standards, with experience cleansing, validating and reconciling data across legacy and EPR systems.
  • Stakeholder engagement Someone who can work confidently with clinical, operational, technical and executive stakeholders, and communicate complex data in a way that is clear, practical and useful.
