Summary: The Data Cleansing Analyst role is a contract position focused on supporting a major data migration programme within a fast-paced commercial operations environment. The analyst will be responsible for cleansing, validating, and preparing large datasets for migration into a new enterprise system. This role requires strong Excel skills and a commitment to data accuracy, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. The position is hybrid, requiring three days a week in London, and is outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleanse, standardise, and validate large-scale datasets
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of catalogue and metadata across systems
  • Support data migration, QA, and UAT testing activities
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies across multiple platforms
  • Produce exception reports and support data gap analysis
  • Assist with go-live readiness and post-implementation support

Key Skills:

  • Experience in data cleansing, data quality, or data operations roles
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas and large datasets essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Experience working with high-volume, structured datasets
  • Ability to work independently on structured data tasks with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced, task-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders
  • Nice to have: Experience in media, entertainment, or content/catalogue environments
  • Exposure to data migration, system implementation, or transformation projects

We're looking for a hands-on Data Cleansing Analyst to support a major data migration programme within a fast-paced commercial operations environment. This is a high-impact, delivery-focused role working with large, complex catalogue and metadata datasets that must be cleaned, validated, and prepared for migration into a new enterprise system. Strong Excel and data cleansing capability is essential; this role is not suitable for reporting or dashboard-focused analysts.
