Overview

An opportunity for an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong MEP expertise to support the delivery and operational readiness of a major AI Cluster Data Centre Expansion.

This role requires a technically credible project leader with experience in hyperscale data centres, mission critical environments and high-density compute infrastructure.

The successful candidate must be comfortable reviewing MEP designs, interpreting electrical single line diagrams, assessing redundancy strategies, validating commissioning outcomes and challenging technical decisions throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the technical delivery and operational readiness of AI cluster expansion projects from build through to handover.
  • Act as the key interface between construction, commissioning, engineering and operations teams.
  • Provide MEP subject matter expertise across critical power, cooling and supporting infrastructure systems.
  • Review and interpret MV/LV Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and validate electrical distribution topologies from utility intake through to IT load.
  • Verify N, N+1 and 2N redundancy philosophies and ensure A/B path segregation is maintained throughout the electrical distribution architecture.
  • Support design reviews and identify potential single points of failure, maintenance isolation risks and operational constraints.
  • Review commissioning procedures, energisation plans and integrated systems testing activities.
  • Ensure all infrastructure is operationally ready for day one, including people, processes, suppliers, assets and documentation.
  • Support design and construction activities with an operations-first and maintainability-focused mindset.
  • Oversee activities impacting live environments and minimise operational disruption.
  • Manage technical risks, dependencies and issues, ensuring early visibility and effective resolution.
  • Drive project delivery across multiple contractors, vendors and stakeholder groups.
  • Lead site acceptance activities, infrastructure handovers and final sign-off processes.
  • Ensure all documentation, compliance requirements, as-built records and quality standards are achieved.
  • Support the deployment of high-density AI compute environments and associated cooling technologies.
  • Drive resolution of technical, quality, equipment and process-related issues.
  • Run project meetings, track milestones and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve project delivery and handover processes.
  • Handle multiple priorities whilst maintaining control of timelines, deliverables and technical detail.
