Data Centre IT Network Engineer

Summary: The Data Centre IT Network Engineer role involves working on a large migration project for a global bank, transitioning from Legacy Cisco to Arista network technology. The position requires in-depth Arista experience and strong VXLAN EVPN skills within a data center network environment. The engineer will be responsible for advanced network configuration and administration, requiring both on-site and on-call work. The role is hybrid, with two days required on-site in Cheshire or SE London or Surrey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver migration projects from Legacy Cisco to Arista network technology.
• Design and implement robust and scalable datacenter network architectures using Cisco and Arista solutions.
• Configure Layer 2/3 networking protocols, VLANs, STP, VxLAN, BGP, OSPF, and EVPN.
• Perform day-to-day network administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in datacentre environments.
• Work on-site two days a week and participate in on-call duties during migrations/deployments.

Salary (Rate): £450.00/daily
