The Data Centre Engineer/Platform Engineer will join a dynamic team at a time of major modernisation and transformation, with responsibility for providing hands-on technical support to drive the cloud and data centre migration activities.
- Supporting migration of datacentre-hosted workloads into Azure, assisting with planning, build, testing and production cutover activities
- Support landing zone, networking and infrastructure configuration
- Assist with application and server migration activities
- Support supplier engagement and technical validation activities
- Review and remediation of high-priority vulnerabilities identified through pen testing activity
- Implement remediation activities across server and infrastructure platforms
- Validate controls through testing and evidence collection
The successful Data Centre Engineer/Platform Engineer will have the following skills:
- Azure Cloud (IaaS/PaaS, networking, identity, monitoring)
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, ARM, PowerShell automation
- Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy
- Backup and restore Solutions eg Veeam, CommVault
- SQL Server, Azure SQL, backups, HA/DR
- Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, SolarWinds
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will initially join for a period of 6 months to actively participate in the cloud and data centre migration activity, and there is the possibility of extension.
